HISTORY

With the decision of the Erciyes University Senate on 08/12/2010, it was decided to open Tomarza Vocational School within Erciyes University. The proposal of the Erciyes University Rectorate on the establishment of Tomarza Vocational School was accepted at the Higher Education General Assembly meeting dated 30/11/2011, in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547, amended by Law No. 2880, and Tomarza Vocational School was established. Our school was furnished by the benevolent businessman Mustafa AKINCIOĞLU at the beginning of the 2013-2014 academic year and its name was changed to Tomarza Mustafa Akıncıoğlu Vocational School with the decision taken by the Erciyes University Senate. As of the 2013-2014 academic year, it started education by accepting students for the first time in the Building Insulation Technology and Building Inspection formal education programs within the Department of Construction. As of the 2016-2017 academic year, the Building Insulation Technology Program was closed on the condition that the current student status is preserved, and the Construction Technology Program started to accept students within our School. In our Vocational School, in addition to the existing programs, the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning was established at the beginning of 2014, and students began to be accepted for the Map and Cadastre Program in the 2015-2016 academic year. The Architectural Restoration Program started to admit students in the 2017-2018 academic year. In summary, four formal education programs within two departments continue their activities in our School. After the transfer of the School from Erciyes University to Kayseri University, the name of our School was changed to Kayseri University Tomarza Mustafa Akıncıoğlu Vocational School. İbrahim BEKTAŞ, the Director of our School, continues his duty.
