History

Tomarza Vocational School was established in Erciyes University in accordance with the article 7 / d-2 of the Law No. 2547 amended by the Law No. 2880 at the Higher Education General Assembly meeting dated 30/11/2011, and was transferred to Kayseri University with a statutory decree. High school started teaching by accepting students to the Building Inspection Program in the Fall Semester of the 2013-2014 Academic Year. High school was furnished by the charitable businessman Mustafa AKINCIOĞLU at the beginning of the 2013-2014 Academic Year and the name of the Erciyes University Senate was changed to Tomarza Mustafa Akıncıoğlu Vocational School.

Program Content

In the building inspection program, which has a training period of 2 years, vocational courses include Reinforced Concrete, Statics, Strength, Building Materials, Concrete Technology, Building Technology, Technical Drawing, Building Quantity and Cost, Soil Mechanics, Building Repair and Reinforcement, Project Study and Application, Hydraulics. and Hydrology, Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Drawing (Autocad), as well as general knowledge courses. Professional development, social and cultural development are supported with elective courses included in the curriculum. Students do their internship at the end of the semester within public institutions and organizations and the private sector deemed appropriate by the internship commission. Students take basic English courses in the 1st and 2nd semesters. Students are trained as individuals who have acquired basic knowledge and skills about construction and contemporary building techniques, have basic knowledge of professional practices, and have the knowledge and physical competence to fulfill the assigned task at any time and under any condition.

Students who graduate from the Building Inspection Program, the construction industry; He is trained as the necessary intermediate staff with sufficient knowledge and business skills in the subjects required by private engineering, architectural offices, construction companies, building inspection companies and the public sector.
