Mapping and Cadastre Program Learning Outcomes

1. To be able to analyze the basic issues of Mapping and Cadastre operations, to have the ability to find solutions to professional problems with analytical thinking ability.

2. Having the knowledge and skills to make fast and precise measurements according to today's measurement methods, using simple and modern measuring instruments.

3. Having knowledge of classical map drawing methods and the ability to effectively use computer-aided map drawing and other CAD applications.

4. Having sufficient knowledge and application skills on property rights-based issues such as cadastral works, expropriation and land consolidation.

5. Having knowledge about map making and 3D modeling with Photogrammetric and Remote Sensing methods.

6. To have sufficient knowledge and be able to apply Space Measurement Techniques, which are becoming more and more common in cartography.

7. Having technical and legal knowledge and the ability to apply it, such as planning, urban and rural area regulations, zoning applications.

8. Having sufficient knowledge and skills in digitizing the cadastral maps required for Geographic Information Systems, transferring them to the computer environment, and researching and collecting all location-based data.

9. Having the ability to work effectively individually and in team work and the self-confidence to take on disciplined responsibilities.

10. Being aware of the necessity of lifelong learning, following scientific and technological developments and having the effort to constantly renew oneself.

11. Following the information in the field and communicating with colleagues using a foreign language.

12. Having sufficient knowledge and awareness about occupational safety, worker health, social security rights, quality control and management and environmental protection.
